The idea to make solid stainless steel Running Board Trim Strips originally came to me in the 80’s while working with a friend in Golden, Colorado. His ‘32 Ford Roadster was driven to numerous events and the nicely painted running boards were often subjected to scuff marks & scratches.

Having kept the idea alive in the back of my mind, I finally began making Running Board Trim Strips for Street Rods locally in the Northwest for family & friends with rod projects. I’ve now decided to take the idea to the next level by refining those original designs and the manufacturing process so we could market this exciting product line to other auto enthusiasts.

With full solid modeling software, CNC machining, and laser-cutting resources available, Hot Rod Metal now has numerous design possibilities to create unique products for the custom & restoration auto industry.
